Ordinary Sunday 14

Isaiah 66:10-14

Galatians 6:14-18

Luke 10:1-12

In today's Gospel, Christ sends his 72 disciples to preach the Gospel. If Christ is the principal musician, the disciples are the musical instruments in his hand. That is why Christ the Lord sent uneducated disciples to preach the Vedas in all corners of the country. He sent them ahead of him to every village and place he was going to go, to prepare the way for him. Everyone who accepts and follows that message will receive salvation (John 1:11-12). This clarifies the matter for us. “He came to his own, but his own did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

It is necessary to examine the words spoken by Christ as he sent the 72 disciples in pairs. There is no need to fear what the disciples should teach or how they should teach. Because the Holy Spirit is always with them and leads them forward. However, ministers of the Word of God and founders of the Kingdom of God must follow certain rules and regulations. Christ indicates some of them to us through today's Gospel reading. Our deeds and words must be greater than what we say. We can save many souls through exemplary behavior and guiding lives.
