The Universal Shepherd, Pope Leo XIV, met with and conversed with seminary students who came to the Vatican from the Triveneto See on Wednesday. He asked them to focus their attention on Christ and to spend every moment of their lives living with faith for Christ. He particularly asked them to take the life of Pope John Paul I, who came from that region and ruled the Church, as an ideal and to walk in the way of Christ, reminding them that he was the best shepherd who gave true meaning to the "priestly life." Pope Leo emphasized that Pope John Paul I, in his teachings, mentioned living like Saint Augustine, and he urged them to live faithfully to the Lord who called them by name and chose them for the priesthood, and to move forward with faith in Him.
