The Indian Christian Day was celebrated very grandly at the YMCA Ground in Secunderabad on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Bishops, priests, pastors, sisters, brothers, and all believers from various Christian denominations participated with great enthusiasm. Speakers preached with many examples that St. Thomas, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ, came to the state of Kerala in India in 52 AD and taught the message of Christ to many through his personal life, and that Christianity means love and service. They also spoke about the great services rendered by Christian missionaries to India in the fields of education, medicine, social work, economics, and politics. Several religious preachers from various Christian denominations said that the Christian missionaries of those days worked hard and converted many people voluntarily through the love they showed and the selfless service they rendered, even though they did not know the language. They also mentioned that the kings and people from great castes of those days were attracted by the good conduct of the Christian preachers and accepted Christ as their savior. They encouraged everyone to boldly proclaim the true gospel of Christ throughout the country not only through words but also through service, and to live together in unity as witnesses of Christ. Everyone expressed that July 3rd should be officially celebrated as Indian Christian Day every year. Surprisingly, the rain that came also stopped. Christian folk singers encouraged the crowd by singing folk songs about the selfless services rendered by Christian missionaries. Many people happily participated in the program.
